Translation Stuff

Sunday, November 30th, 2008 | Translation

It’s not completely done yet, but I’ve been working on a page listing all the professional and unofficial translations I’ve done in the past or am currently working on. I didn’t realize I’d done quite that much stuff. Crazy.

My translations

Someday, if I can find the time, I’d like to write tiny individual pages for each thing, the little descriptions there don’t do any of them justice. Mini-translation notes, I guess you could call them.

Yeah, I finally noticeed that today. Took me long enough :O

Say, did you ever fully finish Magna Braban? I’d like to play it again, as I recall, the story in the last half of the game sounded pretty cool, I just never actually played that far ;)

Haha, there’s stuff on there that even *I* didn’t know about. I’m a terrible stalker. ;)

I released a full patch of Magna Braban on 6/6/6 (at 6:06 UTC :D ) because I had happened to finish the hacking work shortly before, and felt I should celebrate the once-a-century occurrence by releasing something. :)
Can’t remember if you had wanted a revision on it.

Oh my god. You did the translation for puyo 2?
Great stuff! Thank you.

KingMike: Heh, shows how much I’m out of the loop. I for some reason thought it was only partially done, but now I recall you releasing a partial patch earlier than that, so that must be what I’m remembering. I’ll give the game a try sometime then. I think it’d be fun to revisit all these old things I worked on and write about em sometime.

Waaait, so you translated Shin-Chan? I remember a short article on starmen.net stating that there was suprisingly some MOTHER-reference in the show in one specific episode so the translator must be some kind of MOTHER-fan. Now all makes sense, wow.

Wow, you worked on a little part of KH II? Even if I never played this game, I never know you made such a lot of work in translation. Oo

Naraku2000: Actually, I wasn’t responsible for that, one of the show’s writers was. He even posted about it here. It’s just by coincidence that I was a translator for the show. I only translated the original Japanese scripts faithfully, and then the writers would go in and spice everything up, which is where that Mother reference comes from.

Difègue: I’ve only played half an hour of the game, I can’t find the time to play it and I already read through the whole script, so it’s very bleh to me. But you should try it sometime, you might like it. I only did a few days of work on KH2 though, so I didn’t do any major work on it.
