ITEMS - Put all action text from EB into the script - Clear out all unneeded text and write new text for actions. Modify actions to match with the new text. - Finish all the item help. - Implement the items that aren't implemented yet. - Fix Teddy Bear problem - Place item boxes all over ENEMIES - Decide on final names for enemies - Decide on what bosses we'll have - Figure out what enemies go where on the map, place them there - Give stats, etc. for all enemies - Come up with good actions for enemies, assign actions - Fix Pippi/Flying Man/Whatever problems - Be SURE not to use enemy entries that are hard-coded to be invincible - Write descriptions for enemies, somehow get Spy or whatever to print it out during battle EVENTS - Need to make a list of events ahead of time - Find what event #s CAN'T be messed with - Learn about sprite movement codes, then blow up - Write out sprite movement stuff to create cut scenes - Set up key stuff first, make it so you can play through the game's very basic framework from start to end in just a few minutes with no problems - Set up events for the final battle MISC - New PSI animations - Make it so Teddy can't use PSI - Figure out how to add the "Sing" command :( - Figure out the attract mode junk? - Title screen changes - Come up with a title for the hack and the project - See if we can figure out a way to make it so we can skip naming the dog and make the naming confirmation screen look good - Town maps? - Create secret dungeon(s)? TECHNICAL - Figure out what editors are saving data where. This is VERY important, and also VERY annoying. - Write png->raw data convertor - Add the ability to include files to the script insertor - Add the ability to have the SI jump to a new address - Add the ability to write the SI's current address to any specified location (for repointing to included files) - Add basic error/typo-checking into the script insertor - Maybe make my insertor check to see if it's about to overwrite stuff? QUALITY CONTROL - Make sure there are no event bugs - Get suggestions on how to improve various scenes - Make sure difficulty factor isn't TOO insane, but not TOO easy either. - Tweak enemy stats, item stuff, etc. to make above work - Mess with character stats if needed - Make sure there are no typos or story problems
