There is no us.share thing. It just goes straight to www and gives an error page. Why not just create an html page with the zip file linked to it?

There are no words that can describe my anger that are NOT banned by the forum mods.GeoCities has apparently deleted my website and all of its contents, due to the fact that I was linking to it from my s5.com page. Bunch of ###holes anyway... Well, I'm going to try to post it on my Tripod page (It's not actually mine, it belongs to some friends of the family who had me make a page for them. Anyway, they're only using 1 MB out of the 50 available.) after I fix some bugs Falcon24 pointed out. I hope one of those bugs is the one that I've encountered. Whenever I try to run Jonbound, it says the ROM is corrupted and all I get is a brick red screen. I've patched the ips onto both an expanded and an unexpanded EarthBound ROM, and neither worked.EDIT: Forget everything I said. I tried doing it without patching the ROM, and the emulator used the patch itself. I'm deleting that (darn) SNESTool. [This message has been edited by MrRoboto2040 (edited June 03, 2001).]

If you patch it w/ SNESTool, and you get a corrupted message, I'm guessing you're using SNES9x, correct? It said that on mine, but if you use ZSNES, it should work fine.

Remember to keep the ROM filename different from the IPS filename. If your emulator's autopatcher kicks in, it gets pretty ugly. Actually, to clarify that, if you use the autopatch with a 4MB EarthBound ROM, it works. If you use it with a JonBound ROM (I.E. You've applied the changes) it explodes...------------------ Creator of the most complete EB hack to date - JonBound: Dark Future blueantoid.s5.com

Ahhhhhhh! I see.So what you're saying is, if I patch the ROM with the ips using SNESTool, then I have to take the ips out of the folder if I want to play the game using SNES9x? I guess that makes sense. I wish I'd known that before I went up against BlueAntiod without first learning PSI Tomato Alpha. Then I coulda PK Hacked the bug to 1 health... Uh, did I say that? Ha ha! Yeah, I mentioned that in an email I sent to BlueAntoid . Also, the game freezes when you talk to Mr. Fork, or try to call the Stoic Club at the end of the game. By the way, BlueAntoid, where exactly in the actual game do you get the Video Relaxant? I messed around with the EB savestate editor to get it, and I must say it rules totally, but how do you get it in the actual game?

Yes, hello. I started playing JonBound today. It is one of the more disturbing things that I have ever seen, but it it fun. Although most of the enemies seem ridiculously strong. Or maybe I just haven't leveled up enough yet? Well, excellent job, BlueAntoid! However, I found another evil bug of DEATH. I tried to get one of the Sums, but after the lead Sum told me to put his friend in my pocket, the game froze. A control code problem? At any rate, I need to finish getting through the mine. About this contact lens problems.... could I just use a normal EB saved game to get past that part? Once again, thank you, BlueAntoid.

Thanks for reporting the killer death bugs, everybody. I'll try to fix all of them before too long and get a new patch out to all y'all. BTW, Falc, at what point in the game where you talking to Mr. Spoon(We're talking Denver, right?)? (By the way, he's not a woman, and his name is Mr. Snape. Professor Snape is a character from Harry Potter. If you haven't read the Harry Potter books you must. After all, the Onion said only 4 million children have been turned to the Church of Satan because of them. We've got to increase that number! ) Oh, and I'm not going to tell you where the Video Relaxant is, but... well, just go check the Articles section. Jonathan and TsuramiSea: It is possible to interchange save files between EarthBound and JonBound, at least with ZSNES. Oh, and MrRoboto2040: 1. - I used a manual text editor. Watch for updates by Tomato - I'll be releasing a big help file which will include the correct information and programs. 2. - Joe's last name, Scharfenberg, is pronounced: "shar(as in shark) fen(as in fence) berg(as in iceberg)." The cool thing about JonBound is that many people included in the game are real people I know. All of the main characters, in fact! 3. - You don't want to know.

Ah, ok then. That makes it different then. I guess I read it wrong. I have to mow the lawn today as well as various other chores, so I'll see if I can't get any time to work in... It shouldn't be that difficult to fix. As for the miners, I'll just redo their entire section. That oughta do the trick. BlueAntoid, there's another problem. When you go to watch Cow Spit's final performance, you inexplicably get warped up on stage, on top of Number Two. Now, it's fun to be a part of a Cow Spit performance and all, but once they leave the stage, you're stuck up there for ETERNITY! What a cruel fate.... imprisoned forever on the Topolla stage to entertain those yahoos that are called an audience. Also there are some text blurbs. The Doctor Snock calls himself Dr. Saturn. In the intro to Charis's act, the announcer calls her Venus. And when you get called in Toto to register your name - the person calls themself Tony, claiming to be Joe's friend.

Well! I've never seen that happen. Maybe I ought to keep a copy of that IPS on hand to send to people I don't like. I've just fixed the Venus thing and the Dungeon bug. I was going to put in a random DnD organization URL in the second phone call, and I started checking out things online like "thedungeon.org." (Makes sense, doesn't it?) I looked away for one second and my page was filled with some "XXX Kinky Porn" website, so I gave that up quick. In any case, it turns out the problem was that there is a "if event flag is set" link at the beginning of the first phone response (So if it's the end of the game, you'll get the second response.) Then I noticed the same link was at the beginning of the second block. So, it linked to the second block, which linked to itself in an infinite loop. Anyway, I got the Dr. Saturn done. Zivvie is now "collecting user information for a major corporation." Let's see... I clarified the plot when you play the first few scenes, changed what Charis' mom said, and some other insignificant stuff. Oh yeah, wait until you see the new intro to the final battle. It kicks some serious booty. Whoo... three edits in one post. I finished all the other stuff I wanted to, and of course, fixed the Cow Spit bug. Or at least I think I did. It's hard to tell without a way to access it - whenever I use the Debug Menu to get there, it works fine. Anyway, by now I think I've changed everything I wanted to, and I'm sending the new patch to Tomato. ------------------ They're coming to take me away, ha ha, they're coming to take me away, ho ho hee hee ha ha, to the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time, and I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white suits, and they're coming to take me away, HA HA! Hey, Pineapple Kid, you have one more chance! I noticed I left out changing some severely important stuff (Like references to the vague Ness-Paula romance) so you have until I finish that, then I send the patch to both Tomato and Zophar's Domain. Of course, all of the main characters/enemies and such are taken, but I could probably find some way to fit you in... Hey, now that I notice, I haven't changed the Preet pooot guy in any form. I suppose I'd better say this now. One more bug I found.... if you try to use PSI Healing Gamma or Omega, or a Cup of Lifenoodles (or other revival items I guess, but I don't know that since I didn't try any others) during a battle, it will only say "but ----- was already gone...". Not good. Not good at all! However, overall, I loved this hack! The sanctuary guardians were fun to fight (when you're watching GiS's death scene and they throw the grenade and the holy-type music plays, it's hilarious), the enemies were varied and interesting (Gramma Gone Postal, hee hee hee), and the various effects that you added really gave the game spice. Oh, and Keeper of the Souls really freaks me out. "It's the end of the game, dear, so smile and wave to the camera." - Sorry if I didn't get that quite right.
